A massive drone attack hit Ukraine just hours after Moscow rejected a proposed U.S. peace plan.

The Kremlin has been escalating its deadly attacks on Ukrainian cities in recent weeks, while the White House is seeking to finalise a peace plan with Moscow and Kyiv’s approval. In the latest drone attack two people were killed and three others injured after in Ukraine’s eastern Dnipro region overnight.

The attack came shortly after marathon talks in Moscow involving Vladimir Putin, Donald Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff, and Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner. The negotiations continued into the early hours of Wednesday, December 3rd, but ended without any breakthrough.

Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov said that, after five hours of discussions, the two sides had made no compromise on the central issue of Ukraine’s territorial status, leaving them “neither further nor closer to resolving the crisis.”

“We have not reached a compromise yet, but some U.S. proposals remain open for discussion,” he noted.

The previous drone attack on Dnipro happened on December 1st. The Russian missile attack killed four people and wounded nearly two dozen others the governor of the region said.

“There are already four dead in Dnipro. Sincere condolences to the relatives,” Dnipropetrovsk regional governor Vladyslav Gaivanenko said, adding that 22 people were wounded in the attack.
