A total of seven people have been arrested so far in connection with the Huawei scandal in Brussels, according to court documents.

An investigation conducted by europeanconservative.com revealed that at least 25 meetings took place between European parliamentarians and Huawei representatives from 2020 to 2023. The MEPs involved are all leftists, liberals, and centre-right lawmakers.
Of the eight MEPs who co-signed a letter lobbying for the inclusion of Huawei in the rollout of the EU’s 5G network, six belong to European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen’s centre-right EPP group and two to the socialist S&D group.
