A teenager was shot dead by Dutch police after reportedly trying to steal a fat bike while brandishing a firearm near a McDonald’s in Wisselspoor.
Officers opened fire when he attempted to flee, firing at least four shots at close range. Emergency services tried to resuscitate him, but he died at the scene.
A second suspect was arrested and the firearm was seized. Witnesses described a chaotic scene, with one employee recalling the gunman stood just 50 cm away.
