The president signed an executive order labeling the far-left movement as a terror group, directing federal agencies to dismantle its operations.

President Donald Trump on Monday signed an executive order formally designating Antifa as a “domestic terrorist organization,” escalating his administration’s stance against the violent far-left movement.

The decision followed remarks from Trump last week in which he suggested labeling the self-described “anti-fascist” network as terrorists.

In the order, Trump accused Antifa of engaging in “a pattern of political violence designed to suppress lawful political activity and obstruct the rule of law.”

The measure directs federal agencies to use all available legal tools to “investigate, disrupt, and dismantle” illegal operations linked to Antifa or its supporters. That includes taking investigative and prosecutorial steps against anyone providing financial or material assistance to the group.

The White House said the move was part of a broader effort to crack down on political violence in the United States.
