Washington’s peace plan aims to secure the release of hostages and bring about an end to hostilities.

U.S. president Donald Trump announced on Friday, September 26th that he believed an agreement had been reached to end the Gaza war, following discussions with his Arab partners and Israel.

Trump told reporters at the White House

I think we have a deal…It’s looking like we have a deal on Gaza, I think it’s a deal that will get the hostages back, it’s going to be a deal that will end the war.

Earlier this week, Trump presented a “21-point plan for peace in the Mideast and Gaza” during a meeting with Arab and Muslim leaders. The peace deal plan addresses Israeli and regional concerns.
