The U.S. president essentially told reporters Macron is a weightless “good guy.”

As we reported, President Emmanuel Macron unexpectedly announced on Thursday that France will recognize Palestine as a state. The idea was met with scorn from a number of countries, most notably from the United States.

France To Recognize Palestinian State

U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday, July 25th, dismissed Macron’s decision to recognize a Palestinian state as pointless. 

“He’s a very good guy, I like him, but that statement doesn’t carry weight,” Trump told reporters.
