Local media has warned that criminal gangs in the Scandinavian country are under pressure from Iran to carry out terrorist attacks on U.S. and Israeli targets.

The U.S. embassy in Stockholm is warning U.S. citizens in Sweden to “exercise increased caution and maintain awareness of their surroundings, particularly near the U.S. Embassy.”

According to state broadcaster SVT, the criminal Foxtrot network is actively seeking perpetrators to attack Israeli, Jewish, and American targets in Sweden, Denmark, and Germany.

The broadcaster reports that Iran is pressuring gang leader Rawa Majid directly. In response, he has turned to his inner circle, instructing them to find people willing to carry out the attacks.

In recent days, members of the network have approached several Swedish criminals, demanding help to identify operatives for potential terror attacks.

At least seven completed or planned attacks on Israeli interests in Sweden, Denmark, and Belgium have been linked to Rawa Majid’s Foxtrot network, according to investigative journalists at SVT.

Sources inside Foxtrot claim Majid has carried out attacks against enemies of the Iranian regime in exchange for protection and residency in Iran.

“He has nothing to lose — he has nowhere else to go,” said one Foxtrot-affiliated source.

The most recent attack targeted the Israeli arms company Elbit Systems in Gothenburg, where its entrance was shot at on October 10, 2024. No further incidents have been reported since.
