Zelensky’s SBU accuses internationally based online publishers of ‘Russian propaganda.’

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has blocked access to several websites which it accused of spreading ‘propaganda’ on behalf of Moscow.

The sites—from Greece, Hungary, Moldova, and Romania—attracted the attention of the Ukrainian authorities, leading to a censorious move that critics say threatens press freedom.

According to officials, these internet sources spread fake news about Ukrainians’ “terrorist activities,” mock support for Ukraine, portray both the European Union and NATO as divided and ineffective, criticize sanctions against Russia, and disseminate conspiracy theories.

This move raises concerns about press freedom and censorship in Ukraine.
