The attacks caused significant damage, and prompted heightened security responses in Russia’s critical regions.

Ukrainian forces launched a coordinated series of drone strikes across several Russian regions on Monday night, targeting key industrial and infrastructure facilities involved in military supply chains.

Among the targets was the Arzamas instrument-making plant—a factory that produces optical, electronic, and navigation systems used in Russian military vehicles, aircraft, and missiles—in the Nizhny Novgorod region, approximately 759 kilometers from Ukraine’s border.

The strike resulted in one employee’s death and injuries to two others.

In Tula, about 370 kilometers from the border, a drone attack hit a civilian business, killing two people and wounding three.

Two oil refineries were also targeted by drone strikes.

Explosions and fire were reported at the Saratov refinery, a crucial fuel supplier for Russian forces. Similarly, the Komi Republic refinery, nearly 2,000 kilometers northeast of the border, suffered damage to a gas processing unit and oil storage tanks.

Russian air defenses claimed to have intercepted over 30 Ukrainian drones across multiple regions, including the capital Moscow, where seven drones were reportedly shot down.

Several Russian airports imposed restrictions due to the ongoing drone activity.
