U.S. and EU See ‘No Kings’ Movement Protests

Approximately 20,000 people joined demonstrations under police supervision across European cities—including Amsterdam, Madrid, and Rome.

On Saturday, March 28th millions of people took part in protests across the United States and, to a lesser extent, Europe, as part of the far-left “No Kings” movement best known for targeting U.S. president Donald Trump.

Organisers reported that more than eight million participants attended some 3,300 events nationwide, spanning major cities, suburbs, and rural areas.

The demonstrations addressed a variety of issues, including government policies on immigration, climate change, and ongoing military involvement abroad, particularly the war with Iran

In Europe, rallies took place in several countries, drawing smaller crowds than in the U.S. Approximately 20,000 people marched in such cities as Amsterdam, Madrid, and Rome, with police maintaining a heavy presence. 

In Paris, several hundred demonstrators gathered at the Bastille, consisting mostly of Americans living in France, alongside French labour unions and human rights organisations.
