PiS opposition urges Poles to join the October 11th demonstration.

On Saturday, October 11th, a protest organized by the Law and Justice party (PiS) is scheduled to take place in Warsaw.

PiS leader Jarosław Kaczyński is calling for the demonstration, which will highlight the risks of the European Union’s Migration Pact and the harm to agriculture from the Mercosur agreement.

Kaczyński stated:

This government harms Poland every day! The Migration Pact is a real danger, the agreement with Mercosur countries is destroying agriculture, and the manual control of judicial panels by politicians from the current coalition means impunity for their own and repression of the opposition. Evil is spreading at every turn in Poland.

This message was reinforced on X, formerly Twitter:

Let’s stop them! Meet us at the protest this Saturday, October 11th, at Castle Square in Warsaw. Protest against the coalition’s actions on December 13th!

Previously, Mercosur has prompted the Polish conservative opposition —among others—to accuse the Deal’s supporters, including the Tusk government, of abandoning farmers.
