Geert Wilders says Europe faces demographic and cultural collapse unless mass immigration is halted, and calls October’s Dutch election a defining moment.

Dutch politician Geert Wilders has warned that Europe is approaching a demographic and cultural tipping point and called for urgent action to halt mass immigration. Writing in Breitbart, the leader of the Party for Freedom (PVV) framed the upcoming October election in the Netherlands as a decisive moment not just for his country, but for the future of the continent.

Wilders said that U.S. President Donald Trump had raised concerns during a meeting in The Hague, encouraging him to continue his fight “for the safety of the Dutch people.” He also cited Trump’s recent comments in Scotland, where the president reportedly said, “This immigration is killing Europe.”

According to Wilders, Europe risks turning into “Eurafrica or Eurabia” if migration levels continue unchecked. He said that his party withdrew from the Dutch coalition government in June after other parties refused to implement tougher immigration policies.

While arguing that the Dutch are naturally welcoming, Wilders claimed that many migrants arriving in the Netherlands are not genuine refugees but illegal entrants from safe countries such as Germany and Belgium. He blamed what he described as obstruction from “activist judges, naïve civil servants, and leftist politicians” for blocking stronger border measures.

Citing figures from his party, Wilders claimed that more than 10 million asylum seekers, along with millions of illegal migrants, have entered Europe since 2015. In the Netherlands, he said, each asylum seeker costs taxpayers an average of €800,000 over their lifetime.

He warned of accelerating Islamisation, pointing to projections that Europe’s Muslim population could triple by 2050. Wilders also said that many Muslims in Europe believe Islamic law should take precedence over secular laws, and argued that cultural integration is failing.

Wilders, who has lived under 24-hour police protection for two decades due to threats over his criticism of Islam, said many Europeans are increasingly frustrated with rising violence, antisemitism, and insecurity.

In June, PVV proposed a series of stricter immigration measures, including military-controlled borders, a halt to family reunification, the deportation of criminal migrants, and a ban on shelter for single men. These proposals were rejected by the government.

Wilders also accused political elites of being more critical of Israel than of radical Islam within Europe. Quoting Abraham Lincoln, he concluded: “You cannot escape the responsibility of tomorrow by evading it today.”
