The drone struck Eilat after Israeli air defences were unable to intercept it.

On Wednesday, September 24th, Israel’s military reported that a drone launched from Yemen struck the southern town of Eilat, leaving five people injured, including two in serious condition, according to rescuers.

A military statement confirmed that the drone “fell in the area of Eilat” along the Red Sea coast, after air defences were unable to intercept it.

The Magen David Adom emergency medical service reported that its teams treated five individuals suffering from shrapnel injuries.
