The Ukrainian president claimed that Ukraine is preparing to export armaments, as joint defense projects expand alongside continuing drone attacks on Russian targets.

President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on Monday, October 6th that Ukraine will start selling its weapons internationally, calling them the country’s new export product. He has instructed authorities to develop a controlled export program, ‘Weapons,’ by year-end.

Joint defense projects are already underway with international partners and export-import platforms are planned in Europe, the U.S. and the Middle East. The initiative aims to bring Ukrainian defense products to global markets, support the Armed Forces, and strengthen international cooperation.

The announcement comes as Ukraine continues its drone and missile strikes on Russian targets, including last night’s attack in which Russia reported downing 251 Ukrainian drones.
