Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky shared a video on social media on Sunday, October 19th, addressing his fellow Ukrainians.
He said “practically every other day” Russian oil refineries are hit, thanks to the “growing range and accuracy” of Ukraine’s long-range missile capabilities. The president declared several countries share Ukraine’s position that “there should be zero Russian energy” in Europe, noting that the U.S. is now “ready to supply Europe with as much gas and oil” as necessary to “replace Russian supplies.” Zelensky also said Kyiv has made proposals to the United States with regard to gas infrastructure and nuclear power generation.
There should be zero Russian energy in Europe. The signals from America are clear—they are ready to supply as much gas and oil as needed to replace Russian supplies. Our region has the necessary infrastructure and potential to contribute to Europe’s energy independence way more. pic.twitter.com/IHyUFEmvom

He confirmed that Ukraine is preparing important agreements “with several countries” on weapons and air defense technologies. He also informed that he has instructed Ukrainian diplomats to prepare a meeting of the Coalition of the Willing “in the near future.”
Zelensky concluded by saying he is working to make sure “we all have a common position” in Europe regarding Russia, which he summed up as
We will grant the aggressor no gifts and forget nothing.
