The Ukrainian President said a resolution to the ongoing conflict could be resolved through direct negotiations.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Thursday, August 7th called for a face-to-face meeting with Vladimir Putin to end the war, after Donald Trump’s special envoy, Steve Witkoff held talks with the Russian leader in Moscow.

“We in Ukraine have repeatedly said that finding real solutions can be truly effective at the level of leaders. It is necessary to determine the timing for such a format and the range of issues to be addressed,” Zelensky wrote on social media, a day after he spoke with the U.S. president, who said he could meet Putin “very soon.”
