While Hamas fired rockets at Israel on the anniversary of the October 7th, 2023 Hamas terror attacks on Monday, anti-Israel activists took to the streets of Europe, attacking journalists, ignoring police orders, and calling for the death of Jews.
In Germany, protesters at a ‘peace demonstration’ chanted in Arabic:
Whoever has a gun should either shoot Jews with it or give it to Hamas.
Despite the participants openly calling for the murder of Jews, police officers watched without interrupting, despite having an interpreter on site, according to Apollo News.
And “serious” riots in Berlin, attended by climate activist Greta Thunberg, reportedly saw journalists being attacked, as well as bottles thrown at police officers.
Three officers in Turin, Italy, were injured by the explosion of firecrackers launched during an unauthorised demonstration, and in the Netherlands, anti-Israel protesters in Amsterdam ignored the police’s call to leave and were arrested.
NieuwRechts also shared video reports of Dutch activists attacking pro-Israel demonstrators in Dam Square, while others handed out flyers with the text “Resistance till liberation” and showing people with paragliders, a reference to the way some of the Hamas terrorists crossed the border from Gaza to Israel to perpetrate the massacre on October 7th.
In London, police arrested 16 demonstrators, one wearing a parachute, who was arrested on suspicion of “wearing or displaying an article indicating support for a proscribed organisation.”
There were, of course, also official manifestations of support for Israel in every European country. For example, in Germany, Israel’s flag was flown outside the Chancellery alongside the German and European Union flags. And many citizens marched across the continent standing against antisemitism—their voice seemingly drowned out by their opponents. Those showing their support for Israel clearly did so at their own personal risk, as the instances in this report demonstrate.
In Berlin just two days before the commemorations, an Israeli man and his daughter were punched and kicked by anti-Israel thugs—one of Egyptian citizenship and three others of unclear nationality. On the same day, a man wearing a Palestinian keffiyeh was seen holding a banner reading “I jus f*****g love October” at a rally in central London.
Similar scenes also unfolded across the U.S.—particularly in New York, where the New York Post newspaper branded anti-Israeli demonstrations on the anniversary of October 7th “despicable.”

Officials across Europe were already on “high alert” for potential attacks ahead of Monday, while many of their leaders urged Israel to stop fighting—that is, surrender to terrorism.
