France Condemns US-UK-Australia Deal

France has called a US nuclear deal with Australia and the UK a “stab in the back.”

With this move, France lost out on a multibillion-euro submarine-technology deal with Australia. “This is not over. We’re going to need clarifications. We have contracts,” Le Drian added, according to EUobserver.
