After Greta Thunberg’s ‘Palestinian rescue mission’ hit a stumbling block earlier this week, her sailing crew took a detour on Thursday to “rescue” a group of illegal migrants instead.
Her small ship carrying aid intended to be distributed in Gaza—to perhaps a dozen people—went off course to pick up four (apparently Sudanese) migrants who jumped into the sea while being escorted back to the shore by Libyan coastguards. The migrants had likely been making their way to Italy before being intercepted.
The four were later picked up by the European Border Agency Frontex. MEP Rima Hassan of the far-left La France Insoumise party, who is onboard Greta’s ship, expressed her hope that “they will be able to submit their asylum application in Greece.”
Hassan bashed the coastguard’s attempt to prevent this illegal crossing as… “illegal.”
But Swedish journalist Peter Imanuelsen said it was Greta and co. who had acted incorrectly, working to bring the migrants “to Europe illegally,” thus effectively engaging in “human trafficking.”
The "Freedom Flotilla" with Greta Thunberg on board just did something unbelievable.

They have made a detour of their way to Gaza in order to pick up migrants from a boat in the Mediterranean Sea and bring them to Europe illegally.
This is human trafficking.
French politician Jean-Michel Cadenas also joked that the ship’s occupants had “transformed themselves into migrant smugglers.”
Greta’s crew appears now to be back on its way to Gaza, despite Israeli officials warning that the group is not permitted to approach the Palestinian territory.
