German authorities are pursuing a 31-year-old Romanian man suspected of sexually abusing a 6-year-old girl in Rust, Baden-Württemberg. The alleged incident occurred after the child was separated from her family at a local water park, where the suspect reportedly lured her to a nearby wooded area. A Europe-wide manhunt is underway, with investigators believing he may have fled to Romania.

After examining the child, authorities say there is no evidence suggesting she was raped and that she showed no external damage, but that the solicited sexual acts will be forever damaging for the victim.

Offenburg police spokesman Wolfgang Kramer said, “One can imagine that after such a horrific act, a child’s soul is certainly not in a good state.”

Authorities acquired CCTV footage from the water park and got a search warrant for the suspect’s home, but after a thorough search of the residence they found no signs of the man, leading police to think he may have already fled Germany, probably to his country of origin, Romania.

Immigrant crime in and around swimming pools and water parks has been rampant again this summer, putting locals on edge across Europe.

In Wuppertal, authorities launched a series of ‘educational classes’ about “sexuality, contraception, consent, and respect” for “young people” after repeated problems.

Two Syrian teenagers, a 14- and a 17-year-old, attempted to sneak into a water park in Vienna without paying. After being discovered by the security at the gate, they threatened to stab the man. Police were called to the scene and apprehended the two Syrians.

Official data shows that sexual assaults in German swimming pools are mostly committed by non-Germans. 65% of all suspects do not hold a German passport. Afghans, Syrians, and Turks are the nationalities most likely to commit sexual crimes in these places. Adjusting the numbers to the total population number within Germany, the overrepresentation of immigrants in crime statistics is very clear, with Afghans being 76 times more likely to commit sexual assault than Germans.

One Swiss water park took matters into their own hands. With immigrants committing heinous crimes and families feeling uneasy about going to their local swimming pool, the facility management decided to ban all foreign nationals from entering the area. Only local individuals with a Swiss ID are allowed to enter. The results could not be any better. Ticket sales boomed, with families choosing that particular swimming pool over others in the area. The area, once rife with crime, no longer required police intervention.
