Despite the UN’s call for better ties, EU leaders are divided on the bloc’s future relationship with China, as the Biden administration promises better trade deals if Brussels takes a more hawkish line.
Legal bottlenecks allow migrants to apply for asylum in multiple member states, but the Commission promises that the problem will be addressed in the upcoming Immigration and Asylum Pact.
