For the uninitiated, ‘gendering’ is a new phenomenon in Woke High German. It means attaching a horribly out-of-place asterisk and the feminine ending of a word to the masculine noun. Woke High German leads to orthographic monstrosities like Verkäufer*in, Bürgermeister*innen, or even Studierende*r.
Speaking to the press after the verdict was delivered, Harry Miller said: “By framing reality, inquiry and dissent as prejudice, bigotry and hate, the College of Policing has failed to protect the liberty that used to be taken for granted by the citizens of this great nation.”
The new provisions concern about 0.0015% of the Swiss population. But that is not the point: it is a signal of the resolutely progressive path that Switzerland intends to take.
The challenge before us is to decide whether we believe in a universe created by a loving God who called us into being and who has destined us for eternal Communion with Himself, or whether we think we can only be ‘free’ by making ourselves like God and imposing our will on our body and the world?
The Belgian government is considering deleting the category of gender on all Belgian identity cards.
