Critics of the diehard pro-Kyiv stance highlight that the Hungarian PM is standing up for his own country’s interests, and should be backed by Brussels.

The Hungarian foreign minister warns that without cooperation with Russia, Hungary’s affordable energy system could be put at risk.

While the EU is pivoting to American LNG, the switch comes with a price premium and security of supply concerns.
