“Today, the EU needs the Balkans more than the other way around,” the Hungarian prime minister said during his trip to Serbia and Bosnia, signing strategic partnerships and advocating for the region’s rapid EU accession.

The Hungarian government will continue to resist the U.S.’s “plan to squeeze everyone into a war alliance,” Prime Minister Orbán said.
Billboards in Budapest, sponsored by the U.S. Embassy, contradict the official position of the Hungarian government, which from the outset of the war has called for the West to pursue “a cease-fire and peace talks.”
Orbán aired his belief that the U.S. represented a significant threat to Hungarian interests in intelligence obtained by the CIA.
Fourteen member states stand with the Commission in accusing Hungary of discrimination, including France and Germany, joining the lawsuit hours before the deadline.
