The Spanish socialist party (PSOE) has just secured a way to enhance support for its budget. It agreed to retire certain national law enforcement bodies from the region of Navarra, assigning a substantial part of this financial savings to that region as well as the Basque Country.
The move allows the ruling socialists to continue counting on the support of one of their key partners, Bildu, the political descendant of the currently inactive terrorist group ETA.
