A Russian IL-20 reconnaissance plane was intercepted over Polish territory on Friday.
“Another interception of a Russian aircraft over the Baltic Sea, this time by two British fighters,” Polish Operational Command RZC posted on X. “This is another case of provocative testing of the readiness of NATO countries’ systems.”
The British fighters on duty scrambled to intercept the plane, which had entered two kilometers into Polish airspace over the Baltic Sea. The Russian plane then left Polish airspace.
The incident is being analyzed by the appropriate NATO commands.
