Daniel J. Mahoney is professor emeritus at Assumption University in Worcester, Massachusetts, and a senior fellow at the Claremont Institute. His most recent books are The Statesman as Thinker: Portraits of Greatness, Courage, and Moderation (Encounter Books, 2022) and Recovering Politics, Civilization, and the Soul: Essays on Pierre Manent and Roger Scruton (St. Augustine’s Press, 2022). He is presently completing a book entitled The Persistence of the Ideological Lie, to be published in 2025 by Encounter Books.
