Paul Gilfillan is a senior lecturer in sociology at Queen Margaret University (Edinburgh). In 2021-2022 he was a senior visiting fellow at Mathias Corvinus Collegium (Budapest). His major publication is A Sociological Phenomenology of Christian Redemption (2014). He is currently writing an ethnographic study of contemporary Scottish Catholicism
