Zsolt Németh is a founding member of the Fidesz party of Hungary. Since 1990, he has been a member of the country’s national assembly and has served as chairman of its foreign affairs committee since 2014. He has held leadership roles in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and in the NATO Parliamentary Assembly. From 1998-2002 and 2010-2014, he was a minister of state at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He studied political science at St. Anthony’s College, Oxford, and earned his M.A. in economics and sociology from Corvinus University in Budapest.
