AfD now the most popular party even among certain migrant-background groups

The right-wing party enjoys significant support among certain migrant-background groups as well. The KAS study shows that the AfD is the most popular party among Poles living in Germany, and it also enjoys strong support among late repatriates (from Russia, Kazakhstan, etc.).

This confirms in Germany a phenomenon observed in other societies as well: the longer immigrants live in a country and the better they integrate, the more they adopt the electoral habits of the locals – even when it comes to parties that are critical of migration.
