The U.S. president said on Truth Social he instructed the Department of War to suspend attacks on Iranian energy infrastructure after "productive conversations" with Tehran.

U.S. President Donald Trump announced on social media that he has instructed the Department of War “to postpone any and all military strikes against Iranian power plants and energy infrastructure” for a period of five days.

Trump said over the past two days there have been “productive conversations” with Tehran about the “total and complete resolution of U.S. Iranian hostilities in the Middle East.” The president said the talks will continue throughout the week.
