One person was seriously injured in a shooting incident in the northern Brussels municipality of Schaarbeek on Monday evening, April 21st.

CCTV footage has been released of the shooting in which one person sustained life-threatening injuries.

The shooting took place in broad daylight near one of the entrances to Brussels North railway station.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are as yet unclear.

The CCTV footage shows how the customers in a bar are startled by something. A few seconds later several men pass by. They appear to be following each other. They are carrying large swords or machetes. One man has a gun and opens fire. The men pass by the café several times.
