The statue to Winston Churchill, the great British statesman who led his country from the brink of defeat to victory when serving as prime minister in WWII, was defaced on Thursday night. According to British media reports, the statue was cordoned off on Friday morning.

The memorial was spray-painted with “Zionist war criminal,” “Stop the genocide,” and “Free Palestine” graffiti.
The memorial has been the target of attacks by leftist activists for years, who claim the legendary Conservative politician was a “racist imperialist.”
