Artificial intelligence–generated videos showing young girls in sexualised clothing are widely circulating on TikTok.

A report by the Spanish fact-checking group Maldita group found more than 20 accounts that posted over 5,200 videos of girls in bikinis, school uniforms, or tight clothing. Together, the accounts have more than 550,000 followers and nearly six million ‘likes.’

According to the report, the clips’ comment sections often include links to groups on the Telegram messaging app that sell child sexual abuse material. Maldita said it reported 12 such groups to Spanish police. Many of the videos were not clearly labelled as AI-generated, despite TikTok rules.

TikTok and Telegram said they are committed to removing illegal content, pointing to large numbers of videos, accounts, and groups taken down as authorities consider tougher rules to protect minors online.
