TotalEnergies is extending the fuel price cap in France until the end of April, but at the same time is raising the upper limit for diesel.
The price of petrol will remain capped at a maximum of €1.99 per litre, while the diesel cap will increase from €2.09 to €2.25. In addition, during the crisis the company is focusing on the distribution of conventional diesel and is suspending the sale of more expensive premium diesel.
The move has triggered a major rush at petrol stations, and 83 percent of supply problems affect the TotalEnergies network, as Energy Minister Maud Bregeon has indicated.
