Ruby Chen, father of a German-Israeli hostage, has urged the German government to take stronger action to save the remaining hostages.

Ruby Chen, father of American-German-Israeli hostage Itay Chen, is urging the German government to take stronger action for the release of his son, reminding that Germany has a duty to protect its citizens.

Although Itay, who holds Israeli, U.S. and German citizenship, was declared dead earlier, his father believes he may still be alive in Gaza and says compassion must be followed by real efforts to help the remaining hostages.

The father has warned that the German-Israeli hostages in Gaza may not survive much longer unless the German government acts fast. He says relying only on mediators is not enough, and calls for direct action, including sanctions against Hamas and extradition of its members.
