Israel launched strikes on southern Lebanon and Beirut’s southern suburbs on Wednesday, March 25th according to Lebanese state media—as the Iran-backed Hezbollah terrorist organization reported it would maintain its attacks on Israeli troops.
Lebanon was pulled into the Middle East war again when Hezbollah began firing rockets into Israel on March 2nd aiming to avenge the killing of Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Previously, Israel announced that its military would take control of the border area up to the Litani River, located approximately 30 kilometers from the frontier.
Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency reported Israeli strikes and artillery shelling in several locations in the south on Wednesday. It also said that “enemy warplanes… launched a strike” on Beirut’s southern suburbs, after late Tuesday, March 24th saw Israel’s military renew an evacuation warning for several districts in the Hezbollah stronghold.
