Knife Attack in Vienna

Three people were randomly assaulted by an African man at the Westbahnhof train station of the Austrian capital.

On Saturday, August 16th, a man attacked 3 people at the central train station in Vienna, Austria. Reports indicate that the suspect, a Somali national, stabbed one victim in the neck, another in the stomach, and injured the third with a headbutt.

The attack appeared to be random, as there was no prior contact between the assailant and the victims.

All three people injured received emergency treatment from Vienna Emergency Medical Services and were subsequently taken to the hospital. Investigation into the incident is ongoing.
