Polish prosecutors have charged a Ukrainian woman over an alleged parcel bomb plot linked to two Russian suspects, amid heightened European fears of Moscow-backed sabotage.
Poland’s Internal Security Agency (ABW) said an indictment was filed in Piotrków Trybunalski against Kristina S, accused of sending a shaped-charge device packed with explosives, fuses and aluminium powder via courier in July 2024.
The parcel was intercepted in Łódź province before it could cause serious damage to critical infrastructure. Prosecutors say she acted with another Ukrainian and two Russians.
Warsaw has reported dozens of espionage and sabotage cases tied to Russia since its 2022 invasion of Ukraine.
