The attack hit two districts in the Ukrainian capital, killing two people, including a teenager.

Russian missiles struck Kyiv in the early hourse of Thursday, killing two people and injuring several others just hours before British Prime Minister Keir Starmer was due to meet Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

The attack hit two districts of the capital, sparking fires at warehouses and nearby vehicles. Among the victims was a teenager.

The strikes happened as the UK PM is paying a visit to Kyiv today, to discuss continued British military and diplomatic support for Ukraine with President Zelensky.

The meeting is likely to be one of Starmer’s final major international engagements before leaving office.
