At least 15 people were killed in Russian attacks across Ukraine covering July 24–25, including 10 in a ballistic missile strike on an exhibition near Kyiv showcasing drone technology. President Volodymyr Zelensky reported about 100 people injured in the daytime attack, which he said had targeted an event attended by leading figures from Ukraine’s defence sector.
Five more people were killed by glide bombs in the eastern city of Sloviansk, while two men perished in the northern city of Sumy, military officials said. Zelensky also noted receiving intelligence that Russia was preparing another large missile strike within the next 48 hours.
Ukraine carried out its own attacks on Friday, July 24th, killing six people and injuring 26 in the Russian city of Kirov—more than 1,000 km behind the front line. Kyiv also struck warehouses belonging to Wildberries, Russia’s biggest online retailer, which Ukraine says are being used in logistics supporting the Russian war effort.
Russia confirmed the strike near Kyiv, saying it had used high-precision long-range weapons against a site where drones for use in targeting civilian sites in Russia were being displayed. Ukrainian officials said the incident was under investigation, while the prosecutor-general said inquiries were under way into who authorised the event and what safety measures were in place.
