According to reports, five Qatari nationals were traveling in a vehicle near the Red Sea resort of Sharm-el-Sheikh when the Egyptian driver lost control of the car, resulting in a fatal crash on Sunday, October 12th. Three of the employees of Qatar’s Amiri Diwan, the country’s top government body, were killed, while two others were injured and are currently receiving treatment at Sharm El Sheikh International Hospital.
A major peace summit is scheduled to take place in Sharm el-Sheikh on Monday, chaired by U.S. President Donald Trump and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi. Representatives from more than 20 countries are expected to attend the high-stakes meeting.
