(In)famous Swedish climate and pro-Palestine activist Greta Thunberg and her fellow “siege-breakers” picked up four, apparently Sundanese migrants who jumped into the sea from a dinghy being escorted back to the shore by a vessel of the Lybian coastguard.

The group of activists sailing on the Madleen (which also has a diesel engine to enable the amateur sailers to actually move) are headed to Gaza, allegedly to deliver aid to the ‘starved’ Palestinian population.

MEP Rima Hassan (The Left), one of the 12 activists on the ship, said on X they had received a distress call from a boat, most likely leaving Libya for Italy.

Hassan urged her followers on X to help convince the Greek Coast Guard to transfer the four they picked up to Greece by sharing her story widely and tagging Vassilis Kikilias, the Greek minister of maritime affairs. She then reported that Frontex came to pick up the ‘rescued’ migrants.
