Monday, October 27th saw U.S. president Donald Trump condemn his Russian counterpart President Vladimir Putin for announcing a nuclear-powered cruise missile test, calling it “not appropriate.”
Speaking aboard Air Force One, Trump said Putin should focus on ending the Ukraine war, which he noted “should have taken one week”—but is now entering its fourth year.
Putin announced the successful final test of the Burevestnik missile on Sunday, October 26th, claiming it has “unlimited range.” Despite Trump’s promises to mediate a quick resolution to the war in Ukraine, talks between Moscow and Kyiv have stalled while Russian forces continue to make gradual territorial gains.
