The U.S. president said the Hungarian PM’s comments on the Ukraine war “very interesting.”
European leaders feel somewhat reassured after their online meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump, who apparently understood a ceasefire had to precede any discussion of land, and that Ukraine would need a place at the negotiating table.
However, some warn that the European sould remain cautious because the situation is unpredictable and could change quickly.
Before his call with EU leaders, Trump commented on Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán’s remarks who said that winning wars was what Russia does best.
