U.S. president Donald Trump received Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky in the White House today. Despite the over-hyped expectations that preceded the event, the meeting was low-profile, with no journalists present before or after it. Conspicuously, there was not joint press conference following the closed-doors talks.
Trump’s press secretary Karoline Leavitt shared on social media that the President, who also met with Israli Prime Minister Netanyahu today, said both meetings were “positive and productive.”
Zelensky took to X to report that he had “a good meeting” with the American president. He said they discussed “licenses for the production of interceptors for Patriots missiles” and “some other ideas that could help.”
