The embattled UK Labour government has blocked entry to several right-wing commentators and activists ahead of a planned demonstration in London, citing concerns that their presence would not be “conducive to the public good.”

Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood confirmed that seven individuals had their electronic travel authorisations cancelled or refused as part of measures linked to the Unite the Kingdom rally organised by Tommy Robinson. Prime Minister Keir Starmer said the government would

block far-Right agitators from travelling to Britain for that event

arguing that authorities would not allow individuals to “spread hate on our streets.”

Among those affected is Dutch political commentator Eva Vlaardingerbroek, who has been barred from entering the UK since January. Her travel authorisation was revoked after she criticised Labour leader Keir Starmer online, with British authorities stating her presence, in the official jargon, was not considered conducive to the public good. In response, she linked the Home Office decision to her social media posts, suggesting her political criticism helps to explain her ban.

Other banned individuals include Ada Lluch, a Spanish influencer known for anti-woke commentary, and U.S.-based commentator Joey Mannarino, both of whom have previously participated in similar UK events. Another banned influencer is Valentina Gomez, who has described herself as an anti-Muslim commentator. She has said she would still attempt to reach Britain, even if it meant risking arrest and travelling by boat.

The Home Office said all affected individuals had been assessed based on their public statements and previous activities.
