Ricky Jones, a former Labour councillor, who was suspended from the Labour Party the day after a protest in Walthamstow earlier in August, where he was filmed calling for violence against the “far right,” has been cleared of all charges.
In a video that quickly circulated on social media, Jones had addressed supporters, saying: “We need to cut all their throats and get rid of them all,” while drawing his finger across his throat.
Jones was cleared of all charges related to inciting violent disorder by a jury after just over half an hour of deliberation.
Reform UK leader Nigel Farage expressed his outrage on social media.
This is another outrageous example of two-tier justice. https://t.co/FmgtJUzpaE

Former Reform UK chairman Zia Yusuf expressed the same sentiment following the ruling, stating: “Two-tier justice in this country is out of control.”
Chris Philp MP, Shadow Home Secretary, said : “The government must come forward with plans to ensure justice is handed out equally, regardless of the background or views of the perpetrator—but as far as I can see this Labour government seems to be quite happy with two-tier justice.”
Jones, who has served as a borough councillor since 2019, was seen mouthing “thank you” to the jurors after the ruling.
He declined to comment to the press after the jury’s decision and was driven from the court grounds.
