As fighting continues along multiple front lines, Ukraine’s emergency services reported that ongoing attacks caused significant damage to residential areas and critical infrastructure, particularly in the eastern part of the country, and at least four deaths.
According to Ukrainian officials, Russia launched nearly 100 drones and one missile during the latest wave of strikes, with air defences intercepting or disabling 75 of the UAVs. Around 19 projectiles got through and hit eight separate locations.
President Volodymyr Zelensky posted on social media that Russia had launched around 1,300 attack drones, nearly 1,200 guided aerial bombs and nine missiles against Ukraine over the past week.
The bombardment comes amid slow progress on peace efforts, with the Odesa region among the hardest hit, with port, transport and industrial facilities repeatedly targeted.
