Around 9 p.m. on Saturday, August 1st, a Ukrainian man attacked a Polish woman with a knife in the city of Wrocław, leaving her in a critical condition. Police have identified the attacker, and the 18-year-old man has been arrested.
Polish police have not revealed details of the crime, and the Ukrainian man’s motive remains unknown. According to wPolityce, the stabbing took place in the stairwell of a residential building in Wroclaw.
The incident has caused a major uproar across Poland. Przemysław Czarnek, an MP for the PiS party, called on Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk on X to take appropriate measures to protect Poland and the Polish people. The politician, also citing the migration crisis in Ceuta and shared his opinion about the stabbing, calling on Volodymyr Zelensky to cease actions that incite division and misunderstanding between Poles and Ukrainians.
The politician also blamed the mainstream media for its double standards, saying it emphasizes the alleged hostility of Poles against foreigners, more than actions against Poles by non-Polish nationals.
